Rwanyamahembe SACCO's Drive for Financial Inclusion
At Rwanyamahembe SACCO, we are driven by a powerful vision: to bring the unbanked economy on board and champion financial literacy in Uganda’s rural communities.
According to statistics, nearly 80% of rural Ugandans remain outside the formal banking system. These are hardworking individual like farmers, traders, and small business owners who often lack access to basic financial services. Without savings options, access to credit, or insurance, their economic growth is stifled.
We believe this should change.
“We keep our zeal and spirit of financial literacy and helping the unbanked economy to come on board.” — Rwanyamahembe SACCO
Through our community outreach programs, saving schemes, and loan facilities tailored for rural life, we aim to bridge the gap between formal financial institutions and the everyday Ugandan. Our work aligns with the mission of the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (@UgMicrofinAuth), which continues to promote responsible, inclusive financial services across the country.
Here’s how we’re doing it:
Financial Literacy Workshops in villages and trading centers
Low-entry saving options that work even for daily earners
Support for farmers and youth entrepreneurs through affordable loans
Community engagement to build trust and ownership
We’re not just a SACCO—we’re a movement for empowerment. We welcome everyone who wants to take control of their financial future, no matter how small their starting point.
